An establishment with tradicional character it began its activity in 1969, “Es Port” offers a singular variety of interesting gastronomic proposals, using the best fresh fish from the same Port of Valldemossa zone as well as from Palma Market.

“Es Port” has two dining rooms. The first of them has got nautical style. It has been specially thought and designed to offer a warm atmosphere during winter. The organization of the test thanks in presenting this edition the confidence of all the sponsors, contributors and cycling fans without whose support it would not be possible to hold this event every year. In particular, thank the military commander of the Balearic offered this year once again the opportunity to enjoy the last 7 km of ascent to the summit. You can see here altimetry.

Surely every one of the participants who have enjoyed previous editions of the nine recorded in their retinas have images of the spectacular rise in the presence and company of black vultures fly each year the cyclists pedaling efforts.

El ciclista gallego nació en Mos, Pontevedra, el 3 de agosto de 1977 y entre el año 2000 y el 2010 militó en equipos como el Phonak o el Caisse d’Espargne-Illes Balears. Con este último logró realizar sus mejores temporadas sobre la bici. En 2006 se convirtió en el quinto español en conquistar la gran ruta francesa. Anteriormente, en 2004 fue capaz de adjudicarse la Clásica de Los Alpes. Retirado del ciclismo profesional el año pasado, desde entonces combina el cicloturismo con el fútbol, al militar en el equipo filial del Coruxo vigués, en categoría regional gallega.

Oscar Pereiro tomará el relevo de Pedro Horrillo, primer Dorsal 312 de la prueba, que el año pasado se ganó el cariño de todos los cicloturistas durante la prueba y en la fiesta posterior celebrada en el Hotel Iberostar Playa de Muro. Horrillo ya ha confirmado a la organización que repetirá la experiencia este año después de lo vivido en la edición de 2010.

La Mallorca 312 Iberostar es la prueba de mayor recorrido de cuantas marchas cicloturistas se celebran en España. Una auténtica vuelta al perímetro de la isla de Mallorca pedaleando por paisajes únicos que animan a los participantes a completar el reto en menos de las 14 horas exigidas por la organización. La línea de salida y los primeros kilómetros de la prueba son compartidos por los ciclistas de la Decathlon 167, prueba de menor recorrido que discurre por la parte norte de Mallorca.

La jornada del 30 de abril se completa con una gran fiesta en el Hotel Iberostar Playa de Muro donde Oscar Pereiro será homenajeado y compartirá experiencias con el resto de participantes.

Throughout the winter, the leading European teams visit the Island because they appreciate its deal conditions for training. Professional cyclists who have visited Mallorca have a highly favourable opinion of the Island. Stephen Roche (winner of the Tour de France, the Tour of Italy and the World Championship) came to Mallorca on the advice of the great Miguel Indurain. As Roche says “Mallorca is quite fascinating! It has a great climate and great scenery and it offers unbeatable conditions for both holiday cyclists and professionals.”

From February to March, amateur teams spend their well-deserved holidays enjoying their favourite sport on local lanes, travelling through lovely countryside around the small villages in the interior, where they can also find the real cuisine and culture of the Island.

This time the friday before the test, 29th of aril, after the participants have picked up their back numbers, their runner’s bag and have tested their bikes, they may meet each other in a small tour designed by the organisation, as a warm up after their journey to Playa de Muro. At the same time, the cyclists will be able to find their ideal running mates for an adventure that starts at dawn on saturday, the 30th of april, the Mallorca 312 Iberostar and Decathlon 167 challenge.

Also on friday the 29th of april the organisation has scheduled a talk among the cyclists and the participant number “312″ of this years’s edition. Last year’s honoree was Peter Horrillo. Soon will be revealed the name of the cyclist, the number “312″ in this year’s test.

Without change is the adventure of traveling around the island of Mallorca, covering the 312 miles of its perimeter. The event will start the 30th of april at seven o’clock a.m. Fourteen hours ahead to meet the target. After the timing closure all participants are invited to regain strength before the awards ceremony and the celebration to be held in the pool at the hotel by the beach.

To complete the recovering from the cycling adventure Mallorca 312 Iberostar and Decathlon 167, sunday will also be an active day. The 1st of may all those participants staying at the Iberostar hotel “Playa de Muro” con use the large, modern and just opened Spa of the hotel for free.

What better way to complete the most marvellous weekend for tourist cyclists.
